Tanzanian Blackburn SOS 250g Stovetop

Blackburn Estate sits along the Southern border of the Ngorongoro Crater where animals and wildlife are free to wander the unfenced park boundaries. Lions, buffalos elephants, leopards and other species including baboons patrol the area where the grassland is thick and bushy.
Around the exterior of the farm, several small pyres of coffee parchment and red chillies are planted to deter any damage to coffee plants.

Blackburn has its own organised wet mill facilty. Water from a spring supplies two reservoirs adjacent to the mill for pulping. All coffee is dried on raised African beds.
Dry milling is performed in nearby Moshi, and is packed in 60kg bags made of sisal - a coarse fibre similar to jute, but made from the sinuous leaves of the agave plant. Jute bags are prohibited in Tanzania to protect the local sisal industry.

Great for any brew method, a cocoa mouthfeel, good body and a juicy acidity.
Blackcurrant and jasmine notes.
