Cupping

Central Central

The recent onslaught of Central American Cup of Excellence samples and auctions has been somewhat overwhelming, El Salvador, Costa Rica, and now Honduras and Nicaragua. We will get back to CoE cuppings but not this week, another real cupping situation (like last week), some new arrivals and some offerings from around the traps. The Aricha and Beloya have been going extremely well over the past few weeks, no much left. The Colombian Silvio Angel Quipo is a great coffee.
A reminder that 10 people max at the cupping.

Cupping Halt

La Esmeralda big bucks. For those of you fortunate to cup last Saturday, Lot 1 US $100 plus per pound. Most of the lots sold for quite a bit more than last year.
Final push towards 7 seeds opening and therefore we will have a cupping break for a 2 week period, as we are working 24/7, recommencing at the new premises on the 6th June.

Tobenator

Another week, and yet closer to our goal. Here is Toby, who has become quite fond of the scissor lift, sealing our walls. Bridget is getting ready to head to the SCAA, and we are beginning the last phase of our construction. Some great coffees on the water heading our way. Those who missed out cupping last week will have to wait for the Beloya Aricha & honeyed Geisha or should it be Geesha. This week some Costa Rican madness.

Cuppings

Back after a great CoE experience in Colombia, thanks to all who helped out and showed me the ropes. I have come back with a few goodies for the table on Saturday. There will be a few changes to cupping over the next few weeks, we will go through some of the scoring systems associated with cupping and look at some of the things we can use to help our cupping abilities as well.
The organ dude above was rocking....Pereria Colombia

Brazil or is it Brasil?

The Brazil Cup of excellence auction was on during the week, so for the return of our cupping, I think we will sample some of the lots on offer.
In the next few weeks we will introduce a couple of new coffees we have in stock. We are working on a few tweaks to the blends as well as a new blend.

Cuppings

No cupping this weekend. Basically we will start back next weekend with some of our first BBB roasted coffee. We are awaiting shipment of our 1 kg sample roaster which should arrive soon. Clover, 1 kg sample roaster + good coffee is looking pretty sweet. We will be back on Monday and back into work. Hopefully we will be able to have some of the Indonesian coffee on the cupping table in the next few weeks.
